FIND OUT Where are the sewage treatment facilities in your community?
There are three sewage treatment
facilities in San Francisco. The first one is the Oceanside Treatment Plant.
This facility is located in the Great Highway between Lake Merced and the San
Francisco Zoo. The second facility is called North Point Wet Weather Facility.
This facility is located in Bay Street and Embarcadero. The third facility is
called Southeast Treatment Plant. This facility is located at Phelps Street in
the Bayview District.
Hi Krissy,
ReplyDeleteI wonder how big these three facilities. Are they only serving the San Francisco region or other surrounding regions as well? Because there's only one sewage treatment facility where i live in San Jose but it's pretty big so it has the capacity to sever the whole city.

ReplyDeleteHi Krissy,
ReplyDeleteIt was interesting that SF has 3 sewage facilities, but not surprising with how many people live in SF. I thought it was interesting that there was a sewage facility located near Embarcadero and not more on the outskirts of the city.
