I’m utterly shock
and speechless to find out that the doctor found the chemicals listed above in
my body. I’m really concern about the potential health effects of the chemicals
that were found in my body. I want to find out the products that I used that
have these toxic chemicals so I can stop using them. I want to be aware and
educate myself about these chemicals. In addition, I feel angry and disappointed that the
government failed to protect people from these toxic chemicals. The
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) need to be more responsible and strict
when it comes to chemical regulations. The EPA need to require manufacturers to
test the health effects of the chemicals found in their product. Also, it’s very
important for the government to ban products that contain chemicals that can
harm people’s health. We should be more aware and knowledgeable about the
chemicals that are found in the products that we use everyday so we can protect
our health.
Hi Krissy,
ReplyDeleteI too wanted to know where these chemicals come from and in what way did I get exposed to these chemicals. This raises a lot of concerns such as which chemical do you more likely to be exposed to on the daily basis out of all these chemicals. Or how long have you been exposed to these chemicals? Is there a safe level of exposure? If there is, what can you do to find out whether you've reach the safe level or not? I think living in this day and age, it is difficult to protect ourselves from all these exposures unless you choose to live in a bubble but that is not an option. Hence, having a safe level of exposure rate is necessary and crucial to protect our well-being but unfortunately not much is being done regulations and policy wise to make this happens.
Hi Krissy,
ReplyDeleteI was also shocked after learning how many chemicals have accumulated in our bodies. Finding out this information really does want you to take a step back to reflect on things you used previously to see if there is accumulation or toxic damage from chemicals you were previously exposed to. It is extremely disappointing and eye-opening that the EPA doesn't do much at all to regulate or keep citizens safe from toxic exposures.
Hi Krissy,
ReplyDeleteI was dumbfounded to find out that all these chemicals had accumulated in my body for who knows how many years knows. I agree the EPA needs to increase regulations to make companies market products that are more careful and safe for consumers. There are no known cures thus stricter regulations and more push from policymakers to enact laws at the local and state level.
